Automotive Window Tinting

Cool in more ways than one!

Solar Sentinel provides professional automotive window tinting for cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, and specialty vehicles at two locations: Hixson/Chattanooga, Tennessee and Palm Coast, Florida. As an exclusive XPEL-certified installer, every vehicle we tint receives precision computer-cut film — no blade on glass, no adhesive residue, guaranteed bubble-free.

Not only does it enhance the appearance of any vehicle, window tint is virtually invisible at night while keeping them cool during the day and blocking 99% of all UV rays that prematurely fade and age the interior of your car.

Paint Protection Film

Solar Sentinel also offers XPEL Paint Protection Film (PPF) — a clear thermoplastic urethane film applied to your vehicle’s painted surfaces to protect against rock chips, road debris, scratches, and environmental contaminants. XPEL PPF maintains a high-gloss, optically clear finish that preserves your vehicle’s appearance while providing a durable protective layer that traditional wax and ceramic coatings cannot match.

  • Self-healing surface — minor scratches disappear with heat
  • Excellent chemical resistance against fuel, bugs, and road grime
  • High gloss finish — maintains factory paint appearance
  • Hydrophobic surface — water beads and rolls off
  • Excellent optical clarity — virtually invisible protection

Contact Solar Sentinel to discuss PPF coverage options for your vehicle — full front end, full vehicle, or custom coverage areas.

Window Tint Laws — Tennessee & Florida

Solar Sentinel installs all automotive window tint in full compliance with state law at both locations. Here’s what you need to know before your appointment:

Tennessee Window Tint Laws

  • Front side windows: Must allow 35% or more visible light transmission (VLT)
  • Rear side windows (sedans): Must allow 35% or more VLT
  • Rear windshield: Must allow 35% or more VLT
  • SUVs and vans: Rear side and rear windows may be any shade
  • Reflectivity: Cannot be more reflective than a standard window

We’ll advise you on the legal options for your specific vehicle and help you choose the right shade for both compliance and performance.

Florida Window Tint Laws

  • Front side windows: Must allow 28% or more VLT
  • Rear side windows: Any shade on non-commercial vehicles
  • Rear windshield: Any shade — must have dual side mirrors if tinted
  • Reflectivity: No more than 25% reflective on front side windows

Florida law is more permissive on rear glass than Tennessee, giving Palm Coast customers more flexibility on shade selection for the back of the vehicle.
