Window Tinting Across Flagler County and the Nearby Coast

Living here means bright mornings over the ocean, afternoon sun pouring through west-facing windows, and salt air that never really lets up. Solar Sentinel (formerly Flagler Tint) installs XPEL residential and commercial window film for homes and businesses all over Flagler County, plus neighboring parts of Volusia and St. Johns counties. We work out of Palm Coast and come to you. Every job starts with a free measure and quote at your home or business.

If you knew us as Flagler Tint, you’ve got the right people. Shawn and the same installation team are still here, still installing XPEL film, under the Solar Sentinel name.

What We Install

We do window film for homes and commercial buildings. Nothing else. Every product we install is XPEL.

For your home

  • Heat control. Cuts the heat coming through your glass so rooms on the sunny side stay comfortable and your AC doesn’t run as hard.
  • UV protection. XPEL films block up to 99% of UV rays, which helps protect floors, furniture, cabinets, and artwork from fading.
  • Glare reduction. Easier to see TVs and screens, and less squinting at the water views.
  • Privacy. Choose from light daytime-privacy films up to frosted and decorative films for bathrooms, front-door sidelights, and street-facing windows.
  • Safety and security film. Thicker films that help hold broken glass together.
  • Skylights, sunrooms, Florida rooms, and lanais. These are often the hottest, brightest spaces in a Florida home, and film can make them comfortable to use again.

Residential installs come with a lifetime warranty, backed by XPEL. More on our residential window tinting in Palm Coast page.

For your business

We film storefronts, offices, medical and dental offices, restaurants, churches, schools, and municipal buildings. Commercial film evens out hot spots near the windows, cuts screen glare, protects displays from fading, adds privacy where you need it, and gives the building a clean, consistent look from outside. We plan installs around your business hours. Commercial installs carry a 15-year warranty, backed by XPEL. See commercial window tinting in Palm Coast.

Areas We Serve

We’re a service-area business, so we come to your home or job site. Here’s where we usually work. If your town isn’t listed, call and ask. For larger commercial projects, we often travel farther.

Palm Coast and its neighborhoods

  • Palm Harbor. Many homes back onto the canals. Water reflects a lot of light, so glare and fading are common complaints, and a neutral film helps without darkening the house.
  • Grand Haven. Intracoastal views and HOA standards. We usually suggest films that look neutral from the street and keep the view clear.
  • Palm Coast Plantation. Intracoastal and marina-side homes that get strong reflected light off the water.
  • Pine Lakes, Matanzas Woods, and Cypress Knoll. Golf-course and lake lots with big rear windows and lanais. A common fix is film on the back of the house, where the afternoon sun hits hardest.
  • Indian Trails, the Woodlands, and Quail Hollow. Established neighborhoods where people mostly ask for heat control in sunrooms, Florida rooms, and west-facing bedrooms.
  • Everywhere else in Palm Coast, from the “B,” “C,” “E,” “F,” and “L” sections to newer builds on the west side.

The coast: Flagler Beach to Marineland

  • Flagler Beach. Oceanfront and A1A homes deal with low sun off the water early in the day and salt air all the time. Film goes on the inside of the glass, so it’s protected from the coastal weather.
  • Beverly Beach. Small oceanfront community with lots of east-facing glass, where morning glare is the big issue.
  • The Hammock and Hammock Dunes. Homes between the ocean and the Intracoastal, often with tall windows facing water on both sides. Glare, heat, and furniture fading are what we hear about most.
  • Marineland. Out at the north end of the county on A1A. We cover it too.

Bunnell and western Flagler County

  • Bunnell. The county seat. We do homes and also offices, shops, and public buildings.
  • Espanola, Flagler Estates, and Daytona North. Rural properties with lots of open land and not much shade, so the sun hits the glass all day. Heat control and UV protection make the most difference here.

Just outside Flagler County

  • Ormond Beach and Ormond-by-the-Sea. Just south in Volusia County, from riverfront homes to oceanfront condos along A1A. We also serve Daytona Beach for commercial and residential work.
  • St. Augustine and Palm Coast-adjacent St. Johns County. Including the stretch of A1A north of Marineland, St. Augustine Beach, and on up toward Ponte Vedra. If your home or business is in a historic district, we can talk through interior film choices that leave the outside look alone. Check with your local review board before any change to the exterior.

Why Homeowners and Businesses Choose Solar Sentinel

  • Locally owned, same team. We’re the same business people around here have known as Flagler Tint for years, just under the Solar Sentinel name now.
  • XPEL-certified. We install XPEL film only, and we go by XPEL’s standards for prep and installation.
  • Real warranties. Lifetime on residential and 15 years on commercial, both backed by XPEL.
  • Experience. Our team has more than 25 years of combined installation experience.
  • Rooted in the community. Our work has included projects with Flagler County government, the City of Palm Coast, St. Johns County, and local businesses.
  • Straight advice. If film isn’t the right answer for a window, we’ll say so.

HOA-friendly options

Many Flagler County neighborhoods have rules about how windows look from the street. XPEL offers neutral, low-reflective films that are hard to notice from outside. We can give you product details to share with your HOA, but please check your association’s rules before installation.

A word on hurricane season

Safety and security films are thicker films that help hold glass together if it breaks. That can mean fewer shards and a bit more protection against break-ins. To be clear, window film is not hurricane-rated or impact-rated. It doesn’t replace shutters, impact windows, or your storm prep plan. We see it as an everyday safety upgrade, not storm protection.

How the Free On-Site Measure Works

  1. Call or request a quote. Call (386) 227-7778 or fill out our quote form. Tell us roughly what you want fixed: heat, glare, privacy, fading, or all of it.
  2. We come to you. We look at your windows, which way they face, and how you use each room, and we measure.
  3. See the film on your glass. We bring samples so you can compare them on your own windows.
  4. Get a clear quote. No cost, no obligation, no pressure.
  5. Install day. We protect the area, do a careful, clean install, and go over care and warranty details before we leave.
