Every builder has a sub list, and most have learned the hard way who belongs on it. The trades that stay on it show up when they say they will, do the work right the first time and leave the house cleaner than they found it. That’s the kind of sub we work to be.
Solar Sentinel is a locally owned window film company based in Hixson, with about 5 years in business and over 25 years of combined installer experience. We install premium residential and commercial window film for homebuilders, commercial general contractors, remodelers, window and door dealers and designers across the Chattanooga area and out to Marion County. We’d rather do fewer jobs and get every one of them right.

We don’t run a fleet of crews. Shawn, the owner, is on site for every install, so the person who quoted your job is the one making sure it’s done right. You have one point of contact from the first call to the final walkthrough, and you’re talking to the owner, not a dispatcher.
On commercial jobs, film is often the simplest fix for a problem the glass created: a conference room that bakes every afternoon, an office that needs privacy, or a storefront that should hold together if someone throws a rock. Our commercial window tinting covers:
Working with a GC means working to your schedule and your paperwork. Here’s what we bring to commercial jobs:
Our commercial work includes Red Bank City Hall. We schedule around business hours or the build-out, and commercial installs carry a 15-year warranty, backed by XPEL.

A closing date doesn’t move because a sub is busy. We work to fit your timeline instead of asking you to fit ours.
Big glass sells houses. Mountain views, lake views, two-story great rooms and walls of sliders are what buyers around here ask for. They also let in a lot of heat, glare and UV, and the homeowner usually doesn’t notice until the first July afternoon in the new house.
Window film is an easy upgrade to offer on homes like that. Our residential window tinting goes on the inside of the glass and can mean:
XPEL films range from barely noticeable to lightly tinted, so the view stays the selling point, and every residential install carries a lifetime warranty. You can add film to your selections and include it in the job, with trade pricing for builders, or send the client straight to us. We’re glad to work either way.

We’ve also filmed the storefront windows at Patriots’ Pride Windows, a local window company. It’s the same premium film, XPEL-certified installers and owner on site that we bring to every builder’s job.

Homes in Jasper Highlands sit up on the plateau and are built around long views over the valley, which usually means a lot of glass facing open sky. Whether it’s a new build on the mountain or in the valley around Jasper and South Pittsburg, we work throughout Marion County with no travel fee, so adding us to a job out there is easy. See our Jasper window tinting page for more on the area.
We work with builders and contractors throughout the Chattanooga area, including Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain and Ooltewah. We also go up US-27 to Dayton, over Walden Ridge to Dunlap, and out I-24 to Marion County, including Jasper, Jasper Highlands and South Pittsburg. There’s no travel fee anywhere in our service area. For the rest of the metro area, see our Chattanooga window tinting page.
