If your business has a wall of glass facing the road, you already know the problem. Afternoon sun turns the front of the store into an oven, the people working the register squint all day, and anything sitting in the window fades. Window film fixes most of that without covering up the glass you paid for.
We’re Solar Sentinel Window Film, a locally owned company out of Hixson with over 10 years in business and 25+ years of combined installation experience. Our commercial customers around Chattanooga include Raising Cane’s, KFC, Circle K, Krispy Kreme, Mapco and Boot Barn, along with a lot of local shops and offices. The Raising Cane’s in the photo is the one in Hixson.

Storefront film goes on the inside of the glass. Depending on the film, it can:
We carry XPEL commercial films, including XPEL’s security and decorative lines, and LLumar is also available when a project spec calls for it.
Restaurants usually have it worst. Dining rooms are mostly glass, the drive-thru window faces whatever direction the lot allowed, and customers pick the booth that isn’t in the sun. Film takes the edge off the hot side of the building so those seats get used, and it cuts the glare that washes out menu boards and order screens.
We schedule restaurant jobs around your hours, before opening or after close, so you don’t lose a lunch rush to an install.

C-stores run long stretches of glass with coolers, racks and registers right up against it. Film helps keep the heat and glare off the people and products closest to the windows.
Film is also a good way to handle the parts of the glass you don’t want people looking through, like the back of shelving, a stockroom door or an office window. The night photo shows white frosted film across the upper row of windows, which hides what’s behind it and still lets light through. See our privacy and decorative window film page for more options.
For retail and office storefronts, the goal is usually to look open and inviting from the street while keeping the inside comfortable. Lighter films keep the glass looking clear. Slightly darker or reflective films add daytime privacy and a cleaner, more uniform look. We’ll put samples on your actual windows so you can see the difference from inside and out before you decide.
If you manage a strip center or multi-tenant building, we can match film across several storefronts so the whole building looks consistent.

A: Not unless you want it to. There are films that are barely noticeable from outside and still cut a lot of heat and glare. We’ll put samples on your windows so you can walk out to the parking lot and see for yourself.
A: Yes. Most storefront and restaurant jobs are scheduled early in the morning, after close or on a weekend, so you can stay open.
A: No film makes glass unbreakable, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling it. Security film holds the broken glass together, so it’s harder and slower to get through and there’s less glass on the floor afterward.
A: Yes. We remove the old film and adhesive, clean the glass and install new film. We list removal on the quote, so there are no surprises.
A: It depends on how much glass you have, which film you choose and how easy the windows are to reach. The estimate is free, and you’ll get a written quote before any work starts.
